Engineer Stopped The Train Seeing A Dog Tied To The Tracks.

Andres is a train conductor, and was driving his train through the Valparaiso region of Chile when he spotted something on the tracks ahead of him. His concern grew when it didn’t move at all as the train got closer. So he slammed on the brakes.

When he stepped off the train to inspect the object, he started videotaping with his phone. As he got closer to it, he could make out what “it” actually was. “It” was a small black and brown dog.

As the dog tried to get away from Andres as he approached, he couldn’t. He was tied to the rail with a chain. It made Andres sick. He just could not understand why someone would do such a thing to an animal. That dog might have been killed had Andres not stopped his train.

Says Andres: “How can there be such bad people who have tied little dogs to this? Hopefully, one day, the human race will change.”

Andres rescued the animal from the tracks and set him free. And the little guy took off, happy as can be. After the train conductor posted his video about it to social media, it was viewed more than 300,000 times.

One of those viewers was Edgardo Gonzalez, the mayor of that area. He vowed to track down the person who abandoned that animal and bring him to justice.

Says Gonzalez: “We are shocked by the cruelty seen in our society, and strongly condemn this act against such a defenseless animal. We appreciate the attitude that the driver had, who saved the life of this pet.”

The mayor also said that if the dog is found again, it will go to a loving home. Just the way it should be.
