When Charlotte and her husband went their own ways in Australia, she was left homeless, and had to raise two young boys.
She didn’t want the burden of a mortgage, so she built a house on her own. Now, granted, it’s a very tiny house… but it’s really all she and her children need.
Her grandfather helped her build the 10-by-20-foot home for what amounts to about 10,000 U.S. dollars, which he loaned to her. It includes a combined living space, a kitchen and two bedrooms.
And the boys? Well, they love it.
Charlotte then began speaking up much more about the homeless situation in Australia, and she feels what she has done has made her a better person…. and a better mom for her kids.
Says Charlotte: “I just want other females to know they are capable of anything…I want my boys to know — it doesn’t matter if you are a boy or girl, anyone can build their future.”
