Jon Stamos Donates His Drum Kit To A Struggling Marine Family On 4th July.

Most all of us know John Stamos as an actor. He’s that guy who used to be on Full House a few decades ago. But not many know that John can actually play some mean drums. John served as host and performed last Fourth of July at the annual PBS concert, A Capitol Fourth, in Washington, D.C.

He was playing a brand new red, white and blue Ludwig maple drum kit, with his buddies, the Beach Boys. Many in the audience were service men and women. And one of those was retired United States Marine Corps Master Sgt. Mike Schneider, along with his family.

Schneider suffered two traumatic brain injuries while serving with the Marines in the mid-2000s, and part of his treatment was in a music therapy program. And Schneider’s son, Owen, suffers from a nervous system disorder, but he loves to play the drums.

So, at the end of the concert, John invited Schneider and his son up to the stage, and presented them with his drum set. A pretty generous deed, indeed.
